Bare MDF- Both the box and drawers are made of Medium Density Fiberboard, sanded and sealed for YOU to paint it whatever color your want. If you have a certain color or design in mind and you want to do it yourself, choose this one. NOT intended for staining, but perfect for painting!
Bare Maple- The drawer box top, sides and back are bare maple wood. The drawer box bottom is hardboard and not stainable. Drawer faces are bare maple and the drawers are MDF or hardboard (for strength). We sand it but leave the bare wood raw, so if you want to stain the box and drawer faces, you can! You can even burn or carve whatever designs into them. If you would like to use a GlowForge or other laser system to burn your designs into them yourself, definitely choose unassembled at checkout. While you can paint these, we recommend you use a water or oil based wood stain. If you want to paint them, you will get a higher quality paint job by choosing the bare MDF boxes.
Hardboard- made from recycled materials and renewable plant resources in Brazil, this material is not stainable, but holds paint well if a primer is used. It also takes laser etching/burning and CNC carving well. One side is hard and extremely durable, the inside is a softer material. Perfect for those wanting to use for crafting/painting as the soft inner drawers help to protect your paint brushes, pencils and tools. HIGHLY RECOMMEND for painters, makers and crafters and the exact design used for our art teacher.
Maple / Walnut- A walnut stained drawer box with maple drawer fronts and hardboard or MDF drawers
When you purchase one of these, you can purchase it unassembled (you get the joy of putting it together yourself) OR you can pay a bit extra and Chuptaburger will assemble and ship it in it’s finished form. Keep scrolling for assembly instructions/tips!

Assembly process:
If you choose to build it yourself, make sure you use a decent quality wood glue and clamps. Let the wood glue dry for at least two hours before light use, and 24 hours for heavy use. For directions/instructions on assembly, check out this quick YouTube tutorial (coming soon). We’ll show you how to assemble it the way we designed with minimal mess and wait time! If you choose to assemble it the way we do it in the video, here’s a list of supplies/tools you will need:
wood glue (and something to spread it with, like a popsicle stick or paint brush)
CA glue/activator OR clamps/painter’s tape
We created these 4 drawer organizers to be able to be made using a GlowForge Laser machine or a CNC machine. If you have access to either machine and would like to make them yourself, the digital files are available here (coming soon).
